Jerome Horton, prominent City of Inglewood resident has invited LACTAI to participate in his Swearing Ceremony at the African American Museum, Exposition Park , LA , CA. The swearing in ceremony will take place at the Museum on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 6:00 PM
Jerome Horton won the unanimous vote for confirmation to State of California Board of Equalization last Wednesday, September 17, 2009. He will be the first African American to serve on the State Board of Equalization since its inception in 1879. He also will become the first African American constitutional officer in California history.

Jerome Horton began his career with the Board of Equalization as a summer intern while obtaining the Bachelor of Science Degree in finance and accounting from Cal State University Dominguez Hills.
A devoted family man, Horton resides in Inglewood, CA with his wife and two children. |
